WomenSource was formed in June 2008 as a 501(c)3, non-profit organization through a partnership between the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County, North Georgia Community Foundation and United Way of Hall County, in response to a community needs assessment commissioned by the United Way of Hall County in 2007.
While a number of effective women's support programs exist in our community, results from the assessment revealed a need for a channel that could improve the current systems through the coordination and expansion of existing programs.
WomenSource aims to connect women in our community to professional sources for practical help by providing educational programs, facilitating peer support groups and counseling, and making referrals.
