These educational programs are held on the first Thursday of each month at 11:45 a.m. at the Frances Meadows Aquatics & Community Center on Jesse Jewell Parkway. You do not need to be a member of WomenSource to attend, however reservations are required on or before the Tuesday prior to the Brown  Bag Lunch. The cost to attend our Brown Bag Lunch program is $5.00/person for Founding & Annual Members and $6.00/person for Non-members.

Celebrate Heart Month by wearing RED to help spread awareness of "Go Red for Women." The American Heart Association is the outreach agency for February and Susan Irick, Nurse Practitioner, with Gainesville Heart & Vascular Group will provide information on how heart disease impacts women and this year's Heart Ball.   Lunch will be catered by McDonald's. Menu: Southwest Salad, Caesar Salad, or Bacon Ranch Salad. All salads will have the choice of fried or grilled chicken or vegetarian (no chicken). Dessert: Cookie or Pie. Drinks: Water, Sweet or Un-Sweet Tea.

Attendees will learn how to manage their finances through periods of transition including 1) how to survive and maintain the status quo when income has been lost or reduced, 2) how to communicate with creditors, including effective negotiation techniques if not able to make the minimum payments required, and 3) how to pay off your debts and keep your spending in check.
