Program Description:
With dementia diagnoses on the rise, especially for the aging Baby Boom generation, we all have increased risk of developing symptoms and increased likelihood to encounter people with dementia in our daily lives. Therefore, if we all knew a little bit about dementia we  might all be a little better able to advocate for our own cognitive health and support others in theirs. “DEMENTIA: What to Know, What to Do” explores some crucial high-level information to help us become oriented into the nature of this devastating, yet fascinating, disease. Topics include how to distinguish early signs of dementia from normal aging, the changes dementia brings, and an approach one might adopt if there are cognitive concerns for oneself or a loved one.
