Our Stories

What is your passion?

Children.  Children are my passion.  I knew at an early age that God put me on this earth to serve and to teach children.  I am blessed to have had the opportunity to teach in Hall County for 15 years then serve and teach children in Nicaragua and India for 4 years. (2 years in each country) And now, to be working to serve the children at Sisu, Integrated Early Learning.  Children are my passion.

Why do you love this community?

I love our community because of the diversity and kindness that we show.  I have seen, on more than one occasion, our community come together to help in great and small times of need and it is quite the encouragement!

Why go the extra mile for it?

I will go the extra mile for our community because of the children who will be living in this community long after I am gone.  I will go the extra mile for the future generation.

Who inspires you and why?

A great woman of inspiration in my life is my little sister, Alexis.  She shows such strength and dignity and is a true woman of valor.  She is a strong believer who stands firm in her faith. She is an intelligent business woman who always takes the “high road” as difficult as it may be. She is a most amazing and loving mommy to her little ones.   While she is not perfect, as none of us are, she is able to acknowledge her weaknesses and strives to grow stronger each day.  I am proud to say that I have a little sister who loves me, makes me laugh, gives me the most honest advice and whom I can look up to.  She is my inspiration.
