WomenSource is proud to offer diverse programming covering a wide range of topics. While we are always expanding our offerings, here’s a look at some of our successful programing options.
As a volunteer driven organization, we rely on volunteers to assist with the planning and logistics of all our events. We would be delighted to have you as a volunteer. If you are interested in serving at any of our programs, simply fill out the form and someone will be in touch with you.
Our signature fundraising event and fashion show that celebrates women and honors female community leaders. It is a fun evening with the female honorees serving as fashion show models and includes dinner, silent auction and raffle. All funds raised are used to support WomenSource programming.Power of the Purse
An annual workshop for middle and high school girls and the women who love them. This free, half-day event provides education and information around topics relevant in the lives of girls at this stage. The 2017 Girl Power was titled “2Kind2BeMean”. Participants heard from a speaker and engaged in small group break-out sessions to discuss bullying that occurs between girls both in person and through social media. We hosted 175 teenage girls and the women who love them at the 2017 Girl Power event.
Bi-monthly educational lunch programs for women in a variety of subject areas. Programs range from inspirational to informative, so women can gather together to learn about issues such as finances, balancing work and family and eating healthy and living fully as well as trending topics like internet safety and human trafficking. In 2017, 420 women attended the Power Lunch Series.
Educational breakfast programs for women that inspire and encourage continued self-improvement. Women from all walks of life meet at a local restaurant for a cup of coffee and a casual conversation to hear from female leaders in our community on their career paths and how they achieved success. In 2017, 135 women attended the Power Breakfast series.
Annual luncheon hosting a keynote speaker, or panel of speakers, to provide motivation and encouragement to women who attend. In 2017 approximately 170 women attended the Motivating Women Lunch.
Quarterly programs intended to go more in depth with topics pertinent to women than can be covered during the lunch or breakfast hour. Past topics have included women’s health/wellness, leadership and job readiness as well as networking opportunities.
A yearly gathering all women who have attended WomenSource programs to hear about WomenSource accomplishments, as well as goals for the coming year. In 2017, we hosted author Marie Benedict who wrote The Other Einstein to share about her book and her work “excavating stories of women from history” so that we can learn about their hidden contributions to our world.See our Upcoming Women on Adventure Events
